Pigs might fly one day, but British online greetings card company Moonpig, which recently floated at a value of £1.2 billion ($1.65 billion) has introduced some new mascots that will be staying firmly on the ground.

In a new 30-second spot from creative agency Creature, the Moonpigs will represent different ideas featured in the online range of greetings cards, along with different costumes worn by the pigs like avocado costumes and T-rex outfits.

If these prove a hit with consumers, merchandising around the cute porkers seems pretty inevitable and will resemble the Compare the Meerkat brand mascots that have been successful for the better part of the last decade.
