MOne’s Adams Joins Modem to Oversee Delta

NEW YORK Modem Media has hired Jonathan Adams, formerly senior partner and group media director at WPP Group’s mOne, as media director.

In the new role, Adams, 35, will primarily manage media for the Delta Air Lines account. Other senior executives previously handled those responsibilities. He will also assume certain duties as a senior leader in the media services department.

“[Modem] has a great roster of people who I’ve known and respected for years,” said Adams, who will report to Walt Cheruk, vice president of media services at the Norwalk, Conn.-based interactive shop.

Adams was previously at mOne and its predecessor OgilvyOne Media for seven years, working with clients such as Motorola and Bristol-Myers Squibb. (The former was created by the combination of New York-based WPP siblings OgilvyOne Media and Mindshare Digital last April.)

Before that, he spent more than three years at then Lowe & Partners in New York as a media supervisor on Mercedes-Benz and Smirnoff, among other clients. He has also worked at WPP’s The Media Edge and the former Ayer and Della Femina McNamee, all New York.
