CHICAGO Campbell Mithun has hired former Miller Brewing marketing executive Jack Rooney as president of the Interpublic Group agency, effective September 15.
Rooney takes the title from Les Mouser, who will remain CEO of the $1 billion agency. Rooney has 24 years of marketing experience. Most recently he was evp of client management at Omnicom’s event marketing company GMR Marketing in Milwaukee. Prior to that he led the global BP Amoco account for WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather in Chicago.
