Minjae Ormes is leaving her role as Visible’s CMO to serve as LinkedIn’s vp of global brand and consumer marketing.

Ormes joined the Verizon-backed wireless brand at the time of its founding in 2018 and helped to craft the company’s image as an all-digital budget alternative to the big carriers.

At LinkedIn, she will guide the professional networking site’s brand through a period in which workplaces are rethinking many of the conventions of contemporary work and office life amidst the pandemic.

“[We are going to be] figuring out how we really capitalize on this moment to squarely position LinkedIn as a place where we’re leading the charge of thinking about the future of work, how companies can build more inclusive cultures and— ultimately—our brand and the product being at the forefront of how we all do this together,” Ormes said in an interview.
