Milwaukee ad agencies have a history of infighting that has occasionally sullied the city’s Addy awards, which various agencies have boycotted from time to time. Today’s creatives aren’t even sure of the root causes of the animosities. “It’s like the Hatfields and McCoys, no one’s even sure why we’re shooting,” said David Hanneken, a partner in Kohnke Hanneken.
But finally, city creatives have decided their interests are best served by putting aside differences and working together to promote Milwaukee’s creative product.
