Miller Drops ‘Carbs’ Challenge

Miller Brewing said last week it has ended its legal challenge to an Anheuser-Busch campaign that labels Miller Lite the “Queen of Carbs.” A statement said the case was “an unnecessary distraction” and that A-B’s jibe has not adversely affected sales. Miller is continuing its legal fight against what it says are false claims about the company’s South African ownership in A-B ads, as well as its efforts to prevent A-B distributors from allegedly putting defamatory stickers on Miller products.
