Microsoft UK's CMO Paul Bolt Announces Departure

He leaves after almost six years working in marketing at the company

Microsoft U.K.’s chief marketing officer (CMO) Paul Bolt is set to leave the global technology and software business after six years.

Bolt has held the position of CMO since July 2018 when he took over the post from Scott Allen, who became regional marketing and services leader. Bolt had joined the company in October 2016 in the position of director of small-to-medium businesses.

Before his move to Microsoft, Bolt spent five-and-a-half years at Rackspace in a number of positions, latterly as vp and general manager of its technology practice.

What’s next for Bolt and Microsoft?

Announcing his departure through LinkedIn, Bolt said that he was leaving Microsoft to “pursue a new opportunity” but did not reveal what that was.
