Merkle Forms Marketing Services Group

ATLANTA Merkle Direct Marketing said it has launched a professional services group that will develop database marketing solutions for the shop’s current and future clients.

The Lanham, Md., agency delivers database marketing services to clients across the U.S., such as Dell, Geico Insurance and AARP. Through its Knowledge Centers, the shop said it is able to analyze, create, execute and measure campaign results.

According to CEO and president David Williams, the professional services group has been created specifically to serve the shop’s publicly and privately traded companies as well as its nonprofit clients.

“Whether they need to track customer activity across multiple channels, improve donor acquisitions or increase customer response rates, the new team will be continually responsive to our clients’ database marketing needs,” Williams said.

Merkle has promoted Scott Cone to vice president of the professional services group. He joined the agency’s database marketing team in 2001. In this new position, he will oversee the training, functional design, implementation planning and deployment of the shop’s Knowledge Centers. Cone said that the professional services group was created in response to a demand from organizations for adaptable database marketing solutions.

“Our focus is to provide the expertise to help clients respond quickly and effectively to changes in the marketplace,” he said.
