CHICAGO Meijer has selected DeVito Verdi in New York to handle its $25 million account following a review, a representative for the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer said.

DeVito Verdi pitched for the business against agencies including incumbent Meyer & Wallis, Milwaukee, Doner, Southfield, Mich., and Grey in New York.

Meijer, family owned and privately held, operates about 160 stores in Michigan and several other Midwest states that sell groceries and general merchandise including electronics.
