Mediasmith, the San Francisco-based media agency, has been awarded the SEGA of America media buying and planning for its print and digital advertising for its 2009 game launches.

SEGA of America overall spent $23 million on advertising in the U.S. In 2007 and $15 million in 2006, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. But no breakdown was available for its print and digital spending.

Ignited Minds was the incumbent agency for print and digital buying and planning.
