NEW YORK — Supercuts, the salon chain, has awarded its estimated $15 million media buying assignment to Grey Global Group’s MediaCom, sources said.

A MediaCom representative referred calls to the client. Supercuts representatives didn’t return phone calls seeking comment.

Owned by the Minneapolis, Minn.-based Regis Corp., Supercuts has franchises in over 300 cities across the country. Its media spending for 2001 was $5 million, but in the first four months of this year, Supercuts has spent over $7 million, according to CMR.
