Media 100 Recruits A&G

Allen & Gerritsen has been enlisted to handle advertising for Media 100. The client provides digital systems used to deliver video and audio on the Internet, DVDs and CD-ROMs and via traditional broadcast media.

The agency, based in Watertown, Mass., added the assignment following a review of undisclosed contenders. The client had recently been handling work in-house.

Media 100 worked with Boston-based Pagano Schenck & Kay for much of the 1990s. That agency was absorbed into the operations of its New York parent, Pan-oramic Communication, earlier this year. Spending for Media 100 at PS&K had been in the $2-3 million range.

In addition to developing an overall brand positioning and tag- line, A&G will help launch a product to be announced by Media 100 in April at the National Association of Broadcasters trade show in Las Vegas, according to agency president Andrew Graff.

Print ads, Web site design and direct marketing will be in the mix.

Efforts will target broadcast designers and companies that create national TV campaigns and broadcast materials.

The audience also includes executives and technical professionals at television stations, in-house production facilities at large corporations and advertising agencies.
