CHICAGO — Catalog and retail company Lands End picked McKinney & Silver to handle its $20 million advertising account after a review.

The Raleigh, N.C., shop bested Minneapolis agency Carmichael Lynch and The Richards Group in Dallas for the business. The account had been briefly with Element 79 in Chicago. Prior to that it was with DDB Chicago, but a conflict arose after Sears Roebuck and Co. bought Lands End for $1.9 billion in July. DDB handles J.C.
