McKinney Chooses CEO

BOSTON — Brad Brinegar has been selected as CEO of Havas-owned McKinney & Silver, sources said.

Brinegar, a former CEO of Leo Burnett U.S., will succeed Don Maurer, the McKinney executive killed in an automobile accident last October.

Brinegar joined Burnett as chief operating officer in mid-2000 and was promoted to chief executive later that year, but left the company last October. He could not be reached by press time.

The executive search arm of Boston consulting company Pile and Co. conducted the nationwide hunt on behalf of Ed Eskandarian, chairman CEO of Havas’ Arnold worldwide network, of which Raleigh, N.C.-based McKinney is a member. An Arnold representative on Tuesday said the announcement of McKinney’s new CEO is slated for this week but declined further comment, as did Pile and Co. chairman Skip Pile.

McKinney, which reported $350 million in billings for 2000, claims Audi and Nasdaq among its clients.
