McDonald’s has appointed former Adweek Breakthrough Media Agency of the Year Canvas Worldwide and Houston-based, Hispanic-owned full-service agency Lopez Negrete Communications to handle Hispanic media communications for McDonald’s in the U.S. This will include media planning, strategy and consumer insights.

The appointment follows a review conducted by Ebiquity. Canvas formed a partnership with Lopez Negrete to pitch for the account after previously working together on select McDonald’s co-ops and has created a dedicated Navigation Blvd. unit to work on the account going forward.
