McCann S.F. Taps McNeil for Microsoft

SAN FRANCISCO Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson here will replace departing evp, co-cd Kevin Moehlenkamp with John McNeil of Ogilvy & Mather, a McCann representative has confirmed.

McNeil, 34, will be part of the team that heads up the shop’s nearly $500 million Microsoft account.

McNeil has been hired as executive vice president and co-chief creative officer, said Courtney Buechert, executive vice president and general manager of McCann in San Francisco. At Ogilvy & Mather in New York, McNeil was senior partner and creative director for the IBM, Kodak, DuPont and Lycos accounts, among others.
