Christopher Fay is the new president of McCann Erickson’s Detroit office, joining the Interpublic agency from the Leo Burnett Group in Taiwan were he was managing partner.

Fay succeeds Joe Garcia, who was named global managing director of Commonwealth, the new joint venture created in March by McCann and Goodby Silverstein & Partners to handle global creative responsibilities for General Motors’ Chevrolet brand.

In addition to his McCann tenure, Fay brings to his new role work experience in Asia and prior automotive account handling.
