SAN FRANCISCO In an effort to fully integrate the efforts of both agencies, McCann-Erickson and MRM Gould here have jointly hired a new director of business development.

Brian Powley, 42, will explore integrated business opportunities on behalf of both McCann S.F., a full-service advertising agency, and its sister shop, MRM Gould, a relationship marketing firm. It’s the first time McCann Worldgroup has had one person handling new business for two agencies.

In this new position, Powley will be responsible for offering a more integrated approach to clients and potential clients.
