HOUSTON – McCann-Erickson Worldwide has added $9 million in Exxon Corp. foreign billings as a result of a team effort by several agency offices. McCann bested incumbent J. Walter Thompson, Young & Rubicam and Leo Burnett to win the Coral Gables, Fla.-based Esso CCA account (Exxon’s gasoline operations in the Caribbean, Central American and portions of South America). The pitch team is said to have included offices in the U.S. and abroad and high-powered executives, including Sean Fitzpatrick, executive vp in Detroit.
