DETROIT McCann-Erickson breaks its first work for the Honeywell Consumer Product Group’s Autolite unit in a campaign featuring characters from the Fox cartoon series King of the Hill.

The television effort from the Troy, Mich., agency includes two 30-second spots breaking Sunday, as well as point-of-sale work. One commercial also features retired Nascar champion Darrell Waltrip.

McCann believes this is the first time that Hank Hill and his animated colleagues have been featured in TV advertising, said agency representative Jennifer Flowers.
