NEW YORK Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson bows its first work for new client BrownCo today with three TV spots that target the active trader, the agency said.

The ads each show a potential customer being shown around a brokerage house where they meet overly eager staff members with names like “Frivolous Chachkes,” “Quarterly Charges” and “Unsolicited Advice.” The scenarios are meant to poke fun at the extraneous offerings of other brokerages, which don’t appeal to the client’s niche target: the affluent, do-it-youself trader.
