Georgia Telecom Connects In New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS–Peter A. Mayer Advertising here defeated 15 other competitors to capture the account of ITC DeltaCom, a Georgia-based telecommunications firm.
Gillis Advertising and Public Relations of Birmingham, Ala., had served the account, estimated at $2 million, for the past two years.
As agency of record, Peter A. Mayer Advertising will be responsible for all local and regional advertising duties, public relations and collateral development.
Headquartered in West Point, Ga., ITC DeltaCom provides integrated telecommunications services to businesses throughout the South. Additionally, it is a regional provider of wholesale, long-haul services to other communications companies.
“We see tremendous opportunities to increase ITC DeltaCom’s share in its key markets through targeted, strategic marketing programs,” said Peter A. Mayer Advertising president Mark Mayer.
Bonnie Powers, marketing manager at ITC DeltaCom, said Mayer would develop advertising for broadcast and print media for the 16-year-old company.
“We chose Peter A. Mayer for their results-oriented approach to marketing as well as for their knowledge of the telecommunications in-dustry,” said ITC DeltaCom marketing director Moss Crosby. “Their regional markets perfectly match our regional focus–it’s a terrific fit.”
ITC DeltaCom initially sent invitations to 16 shops across the South, then made six on-site visits before selecting three finalists. Powers declined to name the contenders.
