ATLANTA Peter A. Mayer Advertising has lost the $2 million advertising account of Mississippi Power to GodwinGroup, the client confirmed.

Client representative Rex Kelley said the Biloxi, Miss.-based utility had decided to part ways with five-year incumbent Peter A. Mayer. The New Orleans agency was not invited to participate in the informal review, the shop said.

“We’d been through a good process with them but felt it was time to get a different approach as to how we present the business,” said Kelley.
