Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has selected Peter A. Mayer Advertising to handle its$1-2 million corporate brand advertising account.

Mayer began handling advertising for two Sonesta properties in New Orleans last year. For the corporate account, it competed against both nonroster shops and the local agencies of other hotel properties for the business formerly held by Irma S. Mann Strategic Marketing, Boston.

New Orleans-based Mayer will develop a print advertising campaign that will appear in travel trade and consumer magazines.
