Mattel is encouraging consumers to do some spring cleaning. And while it may be tempting to toss those old Barbie dolls and trucks that are collecting dust at the bottom of the toy chest, the brand is making it easier to give the plastic on once-beloved toys a new use.

The goal of Mattel PlayBack is to “keep toys in play” by using the materials in old items to make new products. Consumers can print a free shipping label and mail their toys back to the brand, which will then sort them by material type.
