Laguna Beach, Calif.-based Fuse Interactive has teamed up with MASMedia, which manufactures computer systems that drive in-flight entertainment, to create a Web- and browser-based airline entertainment system delivering audio, movies, news channels and online shopping to passengers.

Fuse will design the airline-based user interfaces for Lake Forest, Calif.-based MASMedia, a division of Matsushita Avionics Systems Corporation. The system will be browser-based, according to Patrick Macke, creative director for Fuse. The first airline to use the new system will be Singapore Airlines.
