Mascola Breaks First Campaign For Surfcontrol

Good employees who have gone bad by abusing their companies’ Internet-usage policies are the focus of a new campaign from Mascola Advertising.

The print ads represent the first effort by the New Haven, Conn., agency for Surfcontrol, a Scotts Valley, Calif., company that provides Internet-filtering solutions for companies. One features an employee who violated her company’s confidentiality policy via e-mail. “Everyone comes to Katie to find out what’s happening in the office,” text states. “Even your competitors.”

Ads tout the client as “The world’s No. 1 Web and e-mail filtering company.” The work breaks next month in trade publications and local business newspapers across the country. Spending was not disclosed.
