Although few Americans rate their health as poor, many have a significant number of sickly days. The chart, excerpting Gallup data, shows nearly half feel in poor health at least once in a typical month. The same poll asked adults how many days in the past month they felt too ill to engage in their “usual activities” (such as work and recreation). While 69 percent said there were no such days during that period, 16 percent said there were five or more.
