Relatively few adults—28 percent—expect to end up inheriting money or other valuable possessions from a relative, according to USA Today/ Gallup polling. Of those who do fore-see getting an inheritance, though, many think it will be sizable. Eight percent expect to receive at least $1 million, 7 percent think they’ll get $500,000-999,999 and 14 percent anticipate getting between $250,000 and $499,999. Looking farther ahead, 72 percent of adults expect they’ll have wealth to bequeath when their own time is up.
