NEW YORK Brown-Forman, the Louisville, Ky.-based wine and spirits marketer, has chosen to consolidate its estimated $160 million worldwide media buying and planning account with Universal-McCann, New York, sources said.

The company produces Jack Daniel’s, Canadian Mist, Southern Comfort, Early Times, Korbel champagnes, Fetzer wines, Bolla wines, among others. Brown-Forman had no comment, nor did representatives for Interpublic Group’s Universal-McCann.

There was no review, sources said, noting that the company merely wished to achieve greater efficiency by having one agency handle its media buying and planning.
