BOSTON: John Holt has been named special new projects director for Maine Gov. Angus King. Holt will coordinate interdepartmental projects and oversee economic development activities.
Until this summer, Holt had been a partner in Portland, Maine-based agency Holt, Hughes & Stamell, which he co-founded in 1989. The executive departed the shop and worked briefly as a marketing consultant in Portland. He cited disagreements with his partners over the long-term direction of Holt, Hughes & Stamell as the key reason he left the agency.
Nancy Marshall Communications, a public relations shop in North Anson, Maine, handles Maine’s economic development account.
