SAN FRANCISCO Award-winning art director Steve Luker left Omnicom Group’s Goodby, Silverstein & Partners last week, the agency has confirmed.

Sources said Luker parted with the agency abruptly, but at press time the reasons for the split were unclear.

Luker returned to the San Francisco-based Goodby agency last year from crosstown shop Publicis & Hal Riney. At Goodby, he oversaw creative on the $380 million Hewlett-Packard business with agency partner and creative director Steve Simpson.

“And now Steve is off to reinvent somebody else’s brand and to do work that only he can do.
