Luckie & Co. has recruited WestWayne’s Martin Buchanan to succeed the retiring Leo Wright as executive creative director.
Buchanan, 43, was creative director at WestWayne in Tampa, Fla., leading the Salem cigarettes, Publix Supermarkets and Roadhouse Grill accounts. He returns to the Birmingham, Ala., shop where he served two tours of duty as a junior and later senior art director in the 1980s.
Executive vice president Tom Luckie said that 30-year veteran Wright, 63, told management he wanted to retire in 2000.
