Lowe Lintas & Partners has imported Howard Portrate from its San Francisco office to fortify management of its $80 million United Parcel Service account.

Portrate was evp, director of client services in San Francisco. His primary responsibility was the Sun Microsystems account, which recently shifted to J. Walter Thompson in New York and Tonic 360, San Francisco [Adweek, Oct. 2].

Before joining Lowe Lintas in January, Portrate spent nearly two years at Ogilvy & Mather in New York, working on American Express.
