Lori Senecal Named President, CEO of the MDC Partner Network

Ed Brojerdi takes the reins of kbs+

Lori Senecal, CEO of Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners, has been named president and CEO of the MDC Partner Network. Ed Brojerdi, president and chief creative officer at kbs+, will inherit her CEO role at the agency.

In her new position—also a new role for the division, which was established last year and houses the MDC agency operations and corporate strategic resources—Senecal will provide strategic counsel to agencies, identifying resources to fuel growth and deepening the MDC agency model. Senecal will start in September and report to MDC CEO Miles Nadal. At the same time, Senecal joins the holding company's board of directors.

"Lori has done an extraordinary job rebuilding kbs+," said Nadal. "She's demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and has informally been helping with the strategic vision of MDC for the last five years."

According to Nadal, clients want MDC to be much more operationally focused. "To be able to participate in global pitches on a holding company basis we wanted to bolster our executive expertise and because Lori has got such an extraordinary track record of success as a CEO of a great agency micro-network, we feel now that we have the wherewithal to compete for any piece of business," he said.

Senecal will work closely with MDC Partner Network CFO Andre Coste, who recently took on the additional role of chief operating officer.

"I know firsthand what a supportive agency partner MDC can be," said Senecal. "So, the opportunity to contribute to that for other agency partners is very exciting." With more agency collaboration within the MDC Partner Network, Senecal will work with clients to help optimize structures across agency capabilities.

While Senecal will hand off kbs+ leadership to Brojerdi, she will keep a foothold in the shop as global executive chairman, focused on global expansion. Senecal noted that Brojerdi was a "natural choice" for her successor.

Before joining kbs+ in 2009, Senecal was president of McCann Erickson in New York. She has worked on global accounts like Coca-Cola and Nestlé and been integral to kbs+'s BMW business.
