Women and Girls Against Tobacco Network of Berkeley, Calif. has launched a campaign challenging the magazines ‘Glamour,’ ‘People’ and ‘Essence’ to stop running cigarette ads. The organization hopes to counteract advertising which portrays female smokers as young, glamorous and desirable.
