LM&O Claims Another Transit Account

ATLANTA Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens said it has added the Delaware Transit Corp. to its client roster.

The Arlington, Va., shop was one of three finalists competing for the three-year marketing contract, said agency president Doug Laughlin. LM&O will focus on increasing awareness and ridership for the mass transit system.

“Our focus is to increase DART’s profile,” said Laughlin. “Also, we must inform Delaware residents of the advantages of mass transit as opposed to single occupancy vehicles.”

While a specific advertising approach has not been determined, Laughlin said that work for the Delaware Area Transit Corp. will be similar to campaigns for LM&O clients such as the Virginia Railway Express and Arlington County Commuter Services. The shop now has four public transportation accounts including the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Annual billings were not disclosed.
