BOSTON The American Legacy Foundation has selected the Interpublic Group’s Golin/Harris International as its lead public relations agency.

Finalists in the review were Interpublic’s The MWW Group and Omnicom’s Fleishman-Hillard, both in Washington, D.C. Incumbent Porter Novelli, also an Omnicom shop, exited the review before final presentations were made. Porter had held the account for four years.

“We had a very difficult decision—all the agencies we saw were passionate, brilliant and committed. We selected Golin/Harris because of their insight on opportunities to support the foundation’s mission to build a world where young people reject tobacco and anyone can quit,” said president and CEO of the American Legacy Foundation Cheryl G.
