roducers of this year’s Addy awards competition in Atlanta took a page from the Don Corleone school of persuasion. The flier inviting practitioners
to participate carried this message: “The following is a list of acceptable excuses for missing this year’s Addy show. No. 1. You’re dead.”
Among those who took the hint and won big at last Saturday night’s ceremony were Atlanta shops Huey/Paprocki (10 golds), Austin Kelley Advertising (nine golds) and Sawyer Riley Compton (five golds, plus the best of show print kudo).
The city’s two advertising schools–The Portfolio Center and The Creative Circus–each walked off with eight gold awards.
