America’s obesity epidemic may not be getting drastically worse, but polling for the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index finds it isn’t getting better. In the period July-September, 27 percent of adults were classified as “obese” and another 36 percent as “overweight.” Those figures are within a couple percentage points of where they’ve been since the first quarter of 2008.
