Lata Joins JWT in Art Buying Post

NEW YORK Josette Lata is heading to JWT here, the agency said today, as head of art buying, effective immediately. She had been creative services director of Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

Lata, 36, was at BBH in New York for seven years, working on accounts including Levi’s, Johnnie Walker, Axe, Bailey’s and Dove. She reports to Wendy North, director of creative management. Holli Burlison had been head of art buying. She left this month to pursue personal interests, according to the agency.

Prior to BBH, Lata was director of art buying at TBWA\Chiat\Day and Fallon, both in New York.

Lata is the fifth new senior hire in the creative department since co-president Ty Montague arrived in January. Other recent recruits include creative services director Steve Ansell and executive creative directors Jeremy Postaer, Peter Nicholson and Walt Connelly.
