A shapely leg with a nasty run in stocking urges women to ‘Make a Quik Stop’ in a new campaign by SCCS Advertising/S.F. for Quik Stop Markets of Fremont, Calif., Northern California’s largest chain of convenience stores. Traditionally men 25-34 and kids 11-18 have made up the company’s core customer, while female shoppers favored supermarkets and warehouse outlets. The new outdoor ads, which seek to broaden the market, have already drawn an interesting response. Quik Stop has gotten several calls from customers who want to purchase a copy of the poster, including a professor at San Francisco State University, who wanted to use it in a class as an example of non-verbal communication.
