NEW YORK Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Lévy on Monday explained broadly his interest in Aegis Group during a wide-ranging interview by PBS’ Charlie Rose that also explored the digitization of media channels and its impact on the creative process.

Lévy, whose interview came toward the end of the first day of Advertising Week, said Aegis is “something that would complement quite well the assets we have,” adding, “There is a fit for us.”

Last week, Publicis Groupe confirmed that it is talking Aegis, the London-based holding company of Carat, among other media agencies, about the possibility of an acquisition.
