KSM Promotes Williams to President

CHICAGO Joni Williams has ascended to president of media agency Kelly, Scott & Madison, replacing 38-year veteran Leonard Cohen in the post, effective immediately.

A 12-year veteran of the Chicago shop, Williams most recently was executive vice president of business development. Cohen, who founded the agency in 1966, will remain chairman. The shop claims $175 million in billings from clients such as ATA Airlines, University of Chicago Hospitals, and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“KSM was founded at a time when independent media firms were relatively nonexistent,” said Williams, in a statement. “Within a changing media environment, KSM is committed to providing innovative planning and buying that goes beyond media solutions.”
