Krystal Restaurants is quietly contacting agencies in preparation for a review of its
$12-15 million account, according to sources.
The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based fast-food chain, known for its square hamburgers, currently uses Ogilvy & Mather in Atlanta as lead agency. Sources said the shop is not aware of the review. Calls to Ogilvy managing director Ian Latham and account head Bob Coyle were not returned by press time.
Gordon Davenport Jr., Krystal’s vice president of marketing and development, said the restaurant would not comment.
Atlanta consultancy Wanamaker is conducting the review, said sources, and initial query letters have been sent.
