Kolar Advertising & Marketing has won the $750,000 account of the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Austin, Texas, agency takes over from incumbent TKO Advertising, also located in Austin, following a review of eight local and San Antonio shops.

Kolar closed its July 3 presentation before ACVB board members by having staffers sing an original song, “Thank God I’m an Austinite,” outside the meeting room.

“Being selected the new agency of record for the Austin CVB represents an incredible opportunity for Kolar,” said agency senior account supervisor Terri Edson.
