NEW YORK Intel, the world’s largest producer of computer chips, has named Eric Kim vice president and director of its sales and marketing group.

Kim comes to Intel from Samsung Electronics, where he was executive vice president and head of global marketing and new business development.

Kim, 50, will join the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company Nov. 15. The move comes as Samsung undergoes a global agency review for its $400 million advertising account, a decision for which is expected this month.
