Kiely Joins Bertucci’s as Top Marketer

BOSTON Kathy Kiely has joined Bertucci’s Brick Oven Pizzeria as the casual restaurant chain’s vice president of marketing.

She succeeds Paul Seidman, who left the Northborough, Mass., company earlier this year.

Kiely most recently had been general manager of the short-lived Boston office of Interpublic Group agency Deutsch from 2000-01. Before that, she served as an executive creative director at Havas’ Arnold in Boston, working on accounts such as The Hartford, McDonald’s and Talbots.

The Boston office of independent shop Cronin/Wallwork has crafted Bertucci’s ads for two years. Bertucci’s president Rick Barbrick said no review or agency change is planned at present. Ad spending is estimated at $3-5 million. Bertucci’s operates about 90 restaurants in 11 states.
