Amid complaints of deceptive advertising, KFC last week ordered its national and local agencies to pull two spots by IPG’s Foote Cone & Belding that tout the nutritional value of the chain’s chicken, sources said. One ad, which broke Oct. 28, has a wife telling her husband they’re starting a healthy diet, and she produces a bucket of KFC. The Center for Science in the Public Interest has filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, claiming the spots are misleading.
