Kerker Nets Pure Fishing Product Lines

CHICAGO Pure Fishing has tapped independent agency Kerker to handle advertising on all of its brands after a review of undisclosed shops, according to the agency.

“Pure Fishing is a creative team’s dream,” said Kerker executive creative director Chris Preston in a statement. “Our charge is to create brand relationships that elevate the Pure Fishing brands and ultimately the entire category for fishing enthusiasts.”

The Minneapolis agency’s initial work will be for the Spirit Lake, Iowa, company’s Berkley Trilene, Berkley Fireline and Berkley PowerBait brands. The agency will later begin work on the Abu Garcia, Stren, Spiderwire, Mitchell and Fenwick brands.

Billings were not disclosed. Pure spent just over $1 million on advertising for all its brands last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
